sembreak..... :|
Sembreak was.... Fun? Great? Wonderful? Maybe. Maybe not. All I can surely say about my sembreak is that I did computer the whole day, chatting with people and playing games. What else can I say? My sister's sembreak was already over, so she was in school. Let's see..... what else happened? I ate, did computer, lay down, did computer, watched TV, and did computer. That's how my life went for one straight week. How nice. :) Is that it? I think so. Hey, I know! The first two days, I finished my PACEs. Woo hoo. Well, at least they're done! That's something to be happy about. Oh well, good-bye. :)))

Teachers' Appreciation Day
Teachers' Appreciation Week was from September 27 to September 30. The first thing our school did to thank and help our teachers was to let students teach their grade and grades lower than them. The kids used their time wisely, every grade had a taste of students teaching them.
The actual Teachers' Appreciation Day was on September 30. At first it was regular classes, and then at 8:00, all grades were sent down to the Quad for the program. The hosts, Enzo Abaya and Janina Punzalan started it. They called on the teachers, ates, and kuyas for recognition. After that, a group of students sang a song called "The Wind Beneath My Wings". Some kids went to their favorite teachers and hugged them. Then some High Schoolers presented "You Raise Me Up". Done with a piano, violin and a saxophone, it was sweet yet bass.
When the program was done, the students crowded on the teachers and gave them hugs. Teachers' Appreciation Week was one to be remembered.

Tom the worm, Ralphy the cockroach, and Tom the lizard
First things first. Why do I have two Tom's? Because unlike most people, who have the name Bob the first name that comes to their head, the first name that comes to my head is Tom.
Let's start with Tom the worm. I bought him one Sunday for two pesos. He was meant for fishers. They seemed so cute, so I just had to buy one. So I did and I kept him in a cup. He died that Sunday night. I and my friend, Angel, had a drastic funeral. I think Angel was sleeping over, and my mom and sisters were watching a movie that we weren't able to watch. So we had Tom's funeral. It was wonderfully dramatic. There was a "Bible" and a priest and I would shake Angel's hand going,"I'm sorry about Tom." Next person,"I'm sorry about Tom." and stuff like that. There was even a "Tom was a good worm." and some boo hoo hoos. Then we switched places. We were so "into it" that my sister had to come out from the movie and shush us. :)
Ok, so now I have told you about Tom the worm. Now for Ralphy the cockroach. Well, first I would like to apologize for my unmanly actions that day I met Ralphy, but cockroaches really ick me out. So one day, I was sitting in my bed, when I heard a buzzing noise. I looked around, but the noise had stopped. So I went on doing whatever I was doing. Then I heard the noise again! I detected the sound and found the source. That was the first time I met RALPHY THE COCKROACH. I squealed and jumped in horror. I danced out of the room and closed the door. I grabbed a Baygon that was thankfully nearby and sprayed at the horror, only to find out that it was empty. I squealed again and called frantically for my dad, who was coming out of my parent's room. He grabbed a slipper sole (though how a slipper sole was lying around without a slipper escapes my knowledge) and stunned the cockroach. Then he sent me to get a new Baygon that was hiding in the bathroom and then he over-killed the poor thing, spraying it four times. Ralphy died on my floor beside my closet. I decided to be lazy and wait for someone to clean it up. So Ralphy stayed in my room for a week. Mom wondered aloud about sweeping him, but I got an idea on the spur of the moment (I had gotten attached to Ralphy, see and I couldn't bear not seeing him.). I told mom to please not sweep Ralphy away. Mom was shocked that I had named the cockroach, but she didn't sweep him, at least. Another week went by. And another. Then it came to the point where some old friends came to our house and I had to sweep Ralphy away. So I mournfully got the broom and swept him away.... it was hard, yo! His parts kept on falling apart and getting stuck in the broom! I finally got Ralphy's six parts to the trash can and threw him inside. Sad. RIP Ralphy, RIP.
Tom the Lizard will get a very short paragraph. He was simply a dead lizard I found on our steps one day. I named him Tom (so that Mom wouldn't throw him away.), and watched his progress in becoming a skeleton. Then, around three days after I saw him, he was gone! I think the wind blew his skeletal remains away. But you know what, there were still bits of skin on him, so I should say bitty skeletal remains or something...... :)

It's a Flow
A flow... a flow of life, a flow of people.... a flow.... what is a flow? A flow is a moving of consistent steadiness. What breaks that? A rock. A single rock can break the flow. More rocks can chop the flow to pieces. It can make it fun, but it can also make it dangerous. A flow of happiness? Sadness can teach you. A flow of sadness? Happiness would be good for you. It really is up to you on what rock you choose. But first answer this question. Do you have a rock?
This is a Call - Thousand Foot Krutch Lyrics
"This Is A Call"
She fooled all of her friends into thinking she's so strong,
but she still sleeps with her light on,
and she acts like
It's all right on, as she smiles again her mother lies there sick with cancer,
and her friends don't understand her,
she's a question without answers,
who feels like falling apart.
She knows, she's so much more than worthless,
but she needs to find her purpose,
she wonders what she did to deserve this and..
[Chorus:]
She's calling out to you, this is a call; this is a call out,
'Cause everytime I fall down, I reach out to you,
and I'm losing all control now, and my hazard signs are all out,
I'm asking you, to show me what this life is all about.
He tells everyone a story,
because he thinks his life is boring,
and he fights
so you won't ignore him,
because that's his biggest fear,
and he cries,
but you'll rarely see him do it.
He loves, but he's scared to use it.
So he hides behind the music, 'cause he likes it that way.
He knows,
He's so much more than worthless,
he needs to find the surface,
because he's starting to get nervous.
[Chorus]
Have you ever felt this way before?
'cause I don't wanna hide here anymore.
Take me to place where nothing's wrong and thanks for coming, shut the door.
They say someone out there sees us,
Well if you're real then save me Jesus,
'cause I've been this way for far too long.
I wasn't meant to feel alone.
[Chorus]
Show me what this life is all about
Show me what this life is all about

Joy comes in many ways....
Joy does come in many ways. You know the saying "find the good stuff in the bad stuff" or something like that. What if you can't find good stuff in your bad stuff? Well, what I do is not try to find good stuff, but DO good stuff. Or, to put it in other words, do stuff that make me happy. Like if I'm unhappy, I draw. If I don't feel like drawing, I write. I find lots of things to write about. If you aren't a writer or an artist, then pick up your pen and draw stick figures. Anyone can draw stick figures. Well anyway, my point is that if you can't find the good thing in your bad thing, do something to make you happy. It works. :)

HEADLINES!!! FIRED POLICEMAN FIGHTS FOR HIS JOB BY TAKING SOME HONG KONG
INTERNATIONALS HOSTAGE. THE REASON HE WAS FIRED WAS BECAUSE OF DRUG-DEALING AND EXTORTION.
Well, I think that Mendoza shouldn't have been drug-dealing in the first place. It was really dumb of him to do that. I mean, he was already a very honored policeman. Why did he have to do that? He already had everything he wanted.
As for our policemen... Well, they are obviously getting lazy and relaxed. If they weren't, they would be more fit to serve.
I wish that Mendoza thought of our impression on Hong Kong and the world when he executed his actions.
Those poor victims... I imagine sometimes that I'm them. I go to another country, yehay! I ride the plane going to that place. I have fun with my family. Finally, my family and some other people from Hong Kong go on a bus. I sit in the bus, waiting for it to reach our next destination. Then the bus stops and a man with a gun walks in. My mom holds me tight. The man threatens all of us with his gun. At the end of the day, seven of us are dead. Soldiers had been outside since this morning, but they couldn't save us. The gunman
goes near a window with one of us as a shield. I saw a streak of something hit the back of his head and he was dead. That was the end of this horrible nightmare.
